It has been the vision of the NSW Speleological Council, for some time
now, to foster, encourage and celebrate efforts to further studies in
Speleology by member club's in NSW. This focus has been further strengthened
by the recent acceptance of the Australian Speleological Federation as
an Environmental Organisation by the Department of Environment and Heritage.
Many members around the state have already and are currently undertaking
project works. Areas of study have so far included: Mapping and Surveying,
Historical Documentation projects, Cleaning and Rubbish removal, Re-vegetation
and Fencing, Hydrology studies, Cave Mineral studies and Bat studies.
Advertising your club projects in the NSWSC project register has many
advantages. It:
communicates with other members of the speleological community
who have similar interests or who are undertaking similar studies.
is a way of advertising to other members your project trips
where you may need more participants.
documents the significant contribution to Speleology made
by NSW member clubs to others in the caving community.
Clubs are encouraged to submit their projects onto the register for
distribution to other NSW clubs. Entice more research assistants onto
your project today!
