The Australian Speleological Federation Inc. is a national federation
of clubs, organisations and individuals involved in the exploration,
documentation, and protection of caves and karst.

Membership categories

Corporate Members
Organisations which have primarily speleological objectives,
subscribe to the Federation's aims and guidelines, meet the
requirements in the by-laws for Corporate membership, and are
approved by the Council.

Provisional Members
Organisations which have primarily speleological objectives,
subscribe to the Federation's aims and guidelines, meet the
requirements in the by-laws for Provisional membership, are
approved by the Executive or Council, but have not yet attained
Corporate Membership.

Individual Members
Individuals who subscribe to the Federation's
aims and guidelines, and are approved by the Executive can join the ASF.
Print the new membership
form

Individuals wishing to renew their membership should use the
individual membership renewal form
(60 KB pdf file) and send it to the Membership Secretary.
Other

Associates
Organisations which subscribe to the Federation's aims and guidelines,
but do not have speleology as a primary objective, OR, are not otherwise eligible for membership but which have
some objectives which are similar to those of the Federation.
Associate status is not a form of ASF membership and are not 'affiliated' with ASF.
Organisations that would like become an Associate of the ASF can print the Associate Application Form and send it to the Membership Secretary. Details are on the form.
To renew Associate membership please print the Associate Renewal Form and send it to the Membership Secretary.

State Speleological Councils
There are two councils (NSW Speleological Council and SA speleological
Council), with their own charter approved by the ASF council.
Their aims are to promote the aims of the ASF within their
respective areas and on behalf of their members.
