ASF Cave Survey and Map StandardsWordprocessor version of tables of symbolsKen Grimes, 1 March, 1997 ASF Survey Commission If you have trouble printing the HTML files from your browser, an alternative is to download a ZIP file that contains a Wordperfect (v6 or later) file which has the text and figures. The figures (as GIF files) are also included in a subdirectory (called "Figs"). The ZIP file is about 166 kb, so may take a little while to download. Download the zip file into an empty directory. It is called ASF.Map.Symbols.ZIP. Open it with your unzipping software (e.g. WinZip). If it does not automatically create the subdirectory called \files beneath the one containing the wordperfect document (STables.WP6) then make a subdirectory of that name and copy all the *.GIF files to that. Open the file in your wordprocessor (if you have MS Word, open it in that - it should translate automatically unless your version is very old), It should find the GIF files and display them within the file. Modify any formatting you want to and print it. Note (18/8/2008): MS Word 2003 and newer may not display the file properly - it depends an local settings. Download a PDF version of the map symbols |
